SmartBank Pole and Pad-Mounted Capacitor Racks
--
Economical Solution For High Voltage Applications
July 11, 2001
Utility engineers looking for a cost-effective way to add capacitance to a distribution feeder now have a new solution, with the introduction of the SmartBank Pole-Mounted Capacitor Rack by Maysteel. This "Smart" unit can be tailored to fit specific applications. Flexibility is a key as it can be ordered with or without a control. SmartBank provides all the convenience of factory assembly and pre-wiring - and is available with or without capacitors, for extra savings.
SmartBank assemblies have a wide range of standard features, including pre-wired junction boxes, wildlife-protected bushing terminals and high-voltage wires, and welded aluminum or galvanized steel racks. Remote capacitor switching is provided by a choice of oil or vacuum switches. Additional options include lightning arresters, fusing and potential transformers. Three different SmartBank configurations are offered as standard: three, six and nine unit banks.
In addition to pole-mounted capacitor banks, Maysteel also offers pad-mounted SmartBank assemblies - protected by dependable Maysteel enclosures.
SmartBank is a product of the Electric Utility Products & Enclosures Group of Maysteel, long known as a manufacturer of ProCap microprocessor controls, Trinetics VS Series vacuum switches and CSD Series oil switches, sectionalizing & primary metering enclosures and other high performance electrical enclosures.
